Based on the first novel of a trilogy written by Blanka Lipińska, 365 Dni, the movie follows Massimo Torricelli (Michele Morrone), a young and handsome boss of a Sicillian mafia family who has no other option but to take over after his father’s assassination, and Laura Biel (Anna Maria Sieklucka), a normal sales person in a luxurious hotel in Warsaw, as well as explores their spiritless relationship. 365 days are given to kidnapped and imprisoned Laura to fall for dominant Massimo.
365 Days (Polish: 365 Dni) is a 2020 Polish erotic romantic drama film directed by Barbara Białowąs and Tomasz Mandes. It is based on the first novel of a trilogy written by Blanka Lipińska. The movie stars Anna Maria Sieklucka as Laura Biel and Michele Morrone as Massimo Torricelli.
The film was released theatrically in Poland on February 7, 2020, and was later made available on Netflix, quickly gaining global attention.
Honestly, the movie was bad but entertaining at the same time. The cringe was real. ‘Are you lost, baby girl?’ (me: ‘Yes, Daddy!’ Nah I’m just kidding) was the highlight of the entire adaptation, and will most probably remain a meme for years at this point. It’s understandable that English was poor, but the dialogues were just too much. Having watched this masterpiece of soft porn pretty much, I came to the conclusion that certain events acceptable in an erotic novel don’t always transfer well in an adaptation. The only praise that 365 Days received was for its very daring sex scenes (which were unnecessarily long, by the way). And it really showed in the fact that the film made the top three most viewed items on Netflix in several territories including Germany, Lithuania, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Turkey, Sweden, Austria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Romania, South Africa, Portugal, India, the United Arab Emirates, Great Britain, Mauritius, Canada, Israel, and the United States. Because guess what? People are horny bitches (including me obviously). Anyway, not to sound completely negative, 365 Days provides the viewers with exactly what they come for…
There’s a good and funny review (my exact same thoughts tbh) to give you a perspective:
What else to add? Oh yeah! Italy is beautiful.
Here is a really pretty fan-made MV:
Blanka Lipińska confirmed that the entire trilogy will receive an adaptation. Who is excited for more soft porn in the future?
