My illustrations and design team is based out of any and every part of the world.

More often than not, you can catch us reading, writing, or drawing. Being able to combine those three things into a job is something we are endlessly excited about and forever grateful for.

1. WHAT CAN BE INLUDED IN A DESIGN PACKAGE?

  • 3 rough concept design drafts based on your initial questionnaires and Pinterest inspiration board and a full revision process on one of the concepts (I love working with clients until they are 100% sold on the designs, but take note that there’re 3 rounds of modifications for free, after that, there is a fee of 10% on the total price).

  • Both digital and ready to print files.

2. WHAT IS THE PROCESS LIKE?

In order to get an author’s vision across the cover, I try to make the process as collaborative as possible. But I also don’t want to confuse or overwhelm an author, so I try to make each step as easy as it can possibly get.

Step 1: Homework

It’s all about the book vibes at this stage. More often than not, authors are unsure about what look they want to go for (which is totally fine), and that’s why I help to nail down a direction and vision for the cover.

First, I’ll provide you with a comprehensive project questionnaire about your genre and plot, characters and their personalities, colour preferences, etc. Also, you can add more details which you might not see mentioned in the questionnaire but find essential for the cover design.

Secondly, I’ll ask you to do some Pinterest research and put together a Pinterest board with illustration styles, fonts, and colors that stand out to you so that I have a solid baseline for understanding what you are drawn toward visually.

Step 2: Infusion

Based on your homework, I’ll put together a mood board that curates some of the images from your Pinterest board into a cohesive look. This will turn into rough drafts, which will result in us getting on the same page in terms of overall concepts and visuals.

Step 3: Design

After the mood board and general style direction is approved, I then can create 3 initial rough sketches for evaluation. The following revision process includes incorporation of thorough research and incorporation of your feedback. Once the cover is designed and finalized, you’ll get all the files included in the offered package.
