The Fault in Our Stars Movie
Based on John Green’s best-selling novel, The Fault in Our Stars, the movie follows Hazel (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus (Ansel Elgort), the two teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them on a journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, given that Hazel’s other constant companion is an oxygen tank, Gus jokes about his prosthetic leg, and they meet and fall in love at a cancer support group.
The Fault in Our Stars is a 2014 American romantic drama film directed by Josh Boone, based on the 2012 novel of the same name by John Green. The film stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort; with Laura Dern, Sam Trammell, Nat Wolff, and Willem Dafoe playing supporting roles.

I’ve heard a lot about John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars but went into the movie without reading the actual book (which happens almost never). Just as any romance lover, I am such a sucker for a good old soapy story about exhilarating and comforting love. I experienced almost the same pain and emotions felt by the characters that seeped through the movie screen. I doubt there was a soul in the cinema who didn’t shed a tear (even my hubby did haha). The Fault in Our Stars undeniably set us up to knock us down.
There are lots of good reviews to give you a perspective, but here’s the one I like:
PS. I thought the soundtrack list was cheezy but suitable nonetheless.
Here is an amazing fan-made MV:
