Three Meters Above the Sky Movie
Based on Federico Moccia’s best-selling novel, Three Meters Above the Sky movie follows Babi (María Valverde) and Hache (Mario Casas) on their journey they discover the first great love.
Three Meters Above the Sky is a 2010 Spanish movie about epic love based on the novel of the same name by Federico Moccia, produced by Federico Moccia and Ramón Salazar, and directed by Fernando González Molina.
The movie tells the story of two young people who belong to different worlds. It is the chronicle of a love improbable, almost impossible but inevitable dragging in a frantic journey they discover the first great love. Babi is a girl from an upper-middle-class that is educated in goodness and innocence. Hache is a rebellious boy, impulsive, unconscious, has an appetite for risk and danger embodied in endless fights and illegal motorbike races, the limit of common sense.
Despite all the criticism, I really enjoyed the movie when it was released in Russia (since I don’t know Spanish, unfortunately). Three Meters Above the Sky is perfect for those who love romance. It contains a lot of magic moments, breath-taking, heart-breaking, and swoon-worthy. The film isn’t a cinematic masterpiece but very entertaining and kind of addicting, not going to lie (I have it on DVD haha). There is nothing complicated in the plot, and the main idea may seem simple, but the way certain events occurred and main characters developed makes 3MSC a fantastic movie in the genre. I loved the cast, and the soundtrack was very fitting, which set the mood.

Tengo ganas de ti, a sequel to Three Meters Above the Sky was released in 2012. I must say that without the final film based on the third book in the series, Babi’s and Hache’s love story is not complete and thus, jaded. Keep that in mind before deciding to watch the second movie.
